First I must say that I love the library and I routinely order books, so I am in and out about once a week. However, when I decide to browse amongst the rows, I would prefer to see a greater variety of fiction books. More than just romance, basically.
I also would like to see a bigger variety of fiction books. Way too much romance and hardly any science fiction or fantasy.
I find the printed paper with date due to be wasteful. Why not stamp?
Also, I never see the Head Librarian. They should make a greater effort to be around the library to answer questions. Everytime I'm there their office is closed or they are just not there. Why are they not there in the evenings? I do not like this.
Overall, a very good library with helpful staff. My only complaints.
Thank you for your comments. Many factors are used in deciding which titles are added to the library's collection. The foundation of all decision making at the library is meeting our patrons' needs. The large romance section is due to a large demand for this genre. We would be more than happy to take suggestions for SciFi or Fantasy titles that you would like to see added to the collection. The majority of feedback on the receipts has been positive. Comments include that the receipt provides a nice reminder/list of items checked out in addition to the date due. The Library Director is in the office 40 hours a week, with the exception of times when she is in meetings with staff or board members, or at the Lewis & Clark Library System for meetings or continuing education. Responding to library patrons is the first priority, please feel free to knock on the Director's door if it is closed, or ask a staff member for help and/or information on the Director's schedule.

When do the new board members take office? The news letter does not mention this.
Also, I would love to come to the library on Sunday but it is closed this summer. Can I start a petition to get it open?
Thank you for your comments.
New library board members begin their duties at the May 18th board meeting.
Your interest in Sunday hours will be forwarded to the Library Board for consideration.
they didn't want to be open on sunday's? Sundays are a good time to read during the summer.
